So, your wedding date is finalized, venue is booked and you have hired the wedding photographer. Now what? It’s time to decide the style of wedding photography you want for your special occasion. There are many types of styles you can choose from, but you should go for the style that suits you the most.

Here are the top 4 most popular styles of wedding photography in Northern Beaches, which can help you to decide the style you want for your wedding.

  • Standard Or Traditional Wedding Photography

You may have seen wedding photo albums of other couples where in most of the pictures people look like stiff wooden boards. With changing trends this type of photography is not the first choice for many people. However, majority of photographers still offer the same old kind of work. If you want a traditional style of work then it is fine, but inform your photographer in advance if you don’t want that type of result.

  • Wedding Photojournalism (Reportage Photography)

Reportage Photography for weddings is completely opposite of the traditional type of photography. It focuses on capturing the moment when they take place in real-time. The photographer strives to capture the natural expressions and special moments of the bride & groom and guests who are attending the ceremony. The photographer is required to stay at the background and always ready to catch the best moment. It makes the function less formal and delivers some amazing results. This type of wedding photography style has become quite popular among couples not only in Northern Beaches, but all over Australia.

It is fast becoming the latest trend among couples, but extra efforts are required to provide the best results in this style of wedding photography. The vintage style is achieved with help of latest editing technologies in which the photographer provides a complete vintage look to the pictures on his editing table. Or, the photographer can simply use the old film cameras to get the real vintage look.

While going for vintage style photography you need to make sure that the wedding ceremony also has a vintage theme. How would the pictures look, if the people are wearing modern clothes and you go for vintage style of photography? Plan properly to get the best results from vintage style photography for weddings.

  • Fashion Magazine Photography Style For Wedding

This style of photography is inspired by glossy & high-end magazines and you’ll be surprised to see the amazing pictures of your wedding. The photographer should be aware about the requirements in this style of wedding photography. Recently, this style has become the most popular and preferred by people for wedding photography in Northern Beaches.

Wedding Photography Tips

As one of the most important decisions you will make concerning the big day, planning your wedding pictures should be considered with care. This list of wedding photography tips will help to get you started towards capturing these priceless memories:
Select Your Photography Style

How do you envision your wedding photographs? Wedding Photographers generally fall into three stylistic categories: traditional, photojournalist, or a combination of both. Traditional photographers are practiced in obtaining great portraits and posed shots. For more candid shots that document the day´s emotions and all the behind-the-scenes action, you may lean towards the photojournalistic style of photography(a trend for todays weddings). For brides who simply cannot decide, seek a wedding photographer who can offer the perfect mix.
Consider the Cost

This really is one area in which you should avoid cutting corners, as your photographs will be one of the few keepsakes you can actually take from your wedding. Expect to allocate at least $1850.00 to your wedding photography budget (the bottom line in metro areas will be even higher). If budget is a concern, consider ordering the most basic package, but avoid hiring an inexperienced photographer to save money. Consult our advice on how to save on photography for more budgeting tips at our photography studio in Kansas City.

Hire your Wedding Photographer
Do your research. Browsing through our list of Preferred Local Wedding Photographers is a great way to start. Compile a list of potentials and commence the “meet and greet.” When meeting with potential photographers, be sure to review his or her work and remember to consider the importance of personality. Your photographer will capture some of the best shots behind the scenes, so you must feel comfortable in working with this person and inviting them backstage. Trust your instinct: if you find anything disagreeable about working with this person, keep looking. And don´t forget to get everything in writing.

Plan the Wedding Pictures
Well before your wedding day, make sure you have considered the must-have photography shots and their execution. You should discuss these details with your photographer so that he or she will be familiar withthe site location, the VIPs of the wedding (attendants, parents etc.), and the best and most un-obtrusive way to get these important shots.
Consider every aspect of your wedding day and how you would like it captured. From the pre-ceremony preparation, to your walk down the aisle, to your “I Dos,” to your first dance and finally to your departure, make sure to discuss the perfect shots for each special moment. Throughout the planning process, be on the lookout out for images that catch your eye, and consider bringing clips to your photographer.

A Wedding Album

Wedding photo albums might seem a little bit traditional and even old fashioned, but they are still a terrific way to protect all of the wonderful memories of your wedding. The only real disadvantage is that this may make it difficult to share your pictures with relative. Although, you can  get more modern looking, printed albums that aren’t too costly, which means this may be an option for you to make it easy for others to appreciate your wedding day memories.  A high standard wedding album will last a lifetime!

Digital Photography

With the vast majority of Kansas City professional photographers utilizing digital photo equipment nowadays, asking for your photographs to be supplied in this format will be a smart decision. It ensures that you’d have greater flexibility when it comes to what you can do with them. Take into account that as these photos are usually of a very good quality, their data file sizes are going to be quite large. As a result, they could be tricky to share by email. Saving them on DVDs could be a better idea if you intend to give digital versions of your wedding pictures to friends and relations.

Making A website For Your Wedding Photographs

Creating a website can be a superb way to show off your wedding photos, even if it may seem a little bit complicated. With the Internet being much easier to work with, building a  gallery online for your pictures really shouldn’t take much time at all. There are dozens of template based website makers which happen to be reasonably easy to use. You could even make use of blogging and site-building platforms like Blogger (which can make it unbelievably easy for couples that don’t want to be concerned about internet hosting and domain names).
If perhaps developing a web site sounds a little too difficult, then think about creating a Facebook page, using a photo-sharing website like Flickr, or perhaps any of the special internet sites which provide hosting for wedding pictures.

Do More With Your Photographs

In addition to the ideas already mentioned, in this day and age there are numerous other things you could do to make the most of your pictures. For instance, there are companies which specialize in reworking your photographs into greeting cards, and also there are other sorts of businesses that could produce canvas prints from wedding images. It is possible to even get your best wedding picture printed on mugs or mobile phone cases. Trying this for your favorite photos can be quite a distinctive and interesting way to share your precious memories.

Final Considerations

With the different things you could do to really make the best of your wedding photographs, you do not need any kind of restrictions, therefore ensure that you own all the rights to your pictures after you’ve bought them and they are supplied in the most appropriate format for whatever you plan to do with them. Virtually all professional photographers should be happy to supply photos that satisfy your requirements exactly, this means you and your partner can show off all the wonderful memories of your wedding day for many years.

When you are arranging your wedding event and you are still trying to choose the very best professional wedding photographer, it is definitely worth taking a little bit of time to evaluate all your options to ensure that you find the wedding photographer that’s right for you. As we grow older we want our family to see how our wedding was like and it is really interesting and pleasurable to show our grand children as to how we celebrated our big day. And then the art of photography comes into real picture. Wedding is a one time experience however photography makes it a lifetime experience. You enjoy this experience again and again depending on the quality of photography done. You really regret if the photographer missed out some real great magical moments .However on the other hand you really enjoy and start visualizing the wedding once again if the photographer has captured all the feelings and happenings in the wedding. You feel as its happening in front of you if the photography is as lively as the wedding was.

Hence ,the photographer should be prioritized while planning a wedding. We just not want good pictures however we want more lively and excellent pictures. Moreover, wedding photographer should be informed about what exactly you want for your wedding. The idea is that the photography must be done at the right time with the right people. A very special Thanks goes out to Leslie and Adam for this note!

A very special Thanks goes out to Leslie and Adam, a fantastic wedding couple to work with, for this note!

Hi John and Lisa,

I just wanted to let you know that I submitted a brief letter for your application in to the Society.  Here’s what I sent them,
When we went on our hunt to find our wedding photographers, we didn’t know that we would find a couple that would be so thrilled to have in our lives.  When we first met up with John and Lisa we felt at home immediately.  These two were very welcoming, honest and respectful about every aspect of the wedding process.

We left there knowing that we had found someone really great.  In doing our engagement photos with them, we didn’t realizing taking photos would be so easy. We had a couple ideas of areas that we might want to use and they shared their expertise with us to find the best location possible for that time of the year. It was a great choice!  John and Lisa worked with us as if they had known us for years and took phenomenal pictures.  We got so many compliments on the work they did and couldn’t have enjoyed the process more.

When we worked with them to set up our wedding day, we were amazed by not only the knowledge that they provided withweddings and photography, but of how great their packages were.  We went for the biggest package possible, because we know that pictures can speak a million words.  We couldn’t be happier that we chose that package, even though any of them would be great.    In preparation for our wedding we had one long meeting in person to discuss each detail, down to names and then a phone call a week or two before to verify and make sure we were doing well.  They both were very understanding of the wedding planning process and were more than helpful with any of the planning if needed. On the day of our wedding, John and Lisa were saviors.  The were impeccable on their timeliness, courteous and fun with our friends and family, and a great support during the minor details of the day.   One of the minor details of the day was that it was pouring rain, I think we got 6 inches that day.  (We hear that is good luck!)  John and Lisa were very understanding with us and were very good about coming up with a great option to shoot photos inside. As the day moved on they did a great job of adapting to situations and staying as close to our timeline we had created.  They also were able to get the shots that we thought were most important, while catching some others that we never would have known would be so great!  Throughout the day we got all kinds of inquiries from our friends and family as to where we found them, because they all loved them!  They made picture taking fun, and not like we had been taking photos for 10 hours.  John and Lisa were contracted for 12 hours but ended up with us for 13 hours.  Boy, it didn’t feel like 13 hours at all!Adam and Leslie Wedding Album 270

As we got back from our honeymoon to see the thousands of photos they took, we were blown away.  They are awesome!  They captured our day and caught a piece of each one of us in there as well.  We are so thrilled to have John and Lisa in our lives and can’t wait to meet up with them each year for our anniversary photos.  I would refer them to anyone that is looking for the best pictures, best people and best packages!  They simply are the BEST!  Couldn’t ask for a more professional set of photographers. I hope this gives you enough to accept them in to your society, they really are not only two of the best photographers but two of the best people we have met!
Happy Holidays you two!
